Things are starting to move!!!
Posted by at 9:25 AM on Monday, October 20, 2008
Well this last week has been a little crazy. All of the sudden the phones started ringing off the hook and we've been showing property almost every day. I think people are finally realizing that the bottom is finally here and rather then keeping their money in the bank they've decided to put it into property. Every buyer we've worked with this week has been an all cash buyer. Our listings have been shown more in the last two weeks then they have in the last 2 months. I'm not sure if this is just the case for property in Blue Ridge, GA or everywhere? Has anyone else started to see this?

busy again
It is really great to be showing property again, and to have qualified buyers. No matter what happens in the markets nation wide, our area still has so much value to offer! I can't think of a better time or place to invest in a second home or lot.

Hi Kristy -
A colleague found your post and forwarded it on to me. I too am seeing strong call volume and cash buyers.
Last week, I received 5 calls off a temporary sign that we put on one of our new River Front communities on the Hiawassee River. I have done absolutely no marketing or advertising with the exception of that $20.00 sign!
Also, I've had two cash buyers make respectable offers on our waterfront condos.
I recently moved here from the Savannah, GA. area and am very impressed with the activity that I've seen in a very short period of time. I'm extremely optimistic about Q4, 08 and 2009!!!
So, it looks like Towns and Clay Counties might be on pace with Blue Ridge!
Good Luck and Happy Selling!
